The general term for taking part in any kink or BDSM activity, such as bondage, impact or sensation play.

Play is the everyday word for engaging in kink or BDSM activity. It can be physical, like rope, impact or sensation play, or psychological, like power exchange and role play. People talk about playing with a partner, a play session, or a play space. Play is always negotiated beforehand and bounded by limits and a safeword. It does not necessarily involve sex.
