Privacy & data

We hold the
least possible.

Belonging to a private club is sensitive information. Venuva is built around that simple idea. We keep the least we can, we never see a member's ID, and no member's data or identity is ever made public. This page explains exactly what that means, in plain language. It is not a legal document.

What we keep, and what we never touch.

The clearest way to explain our approach is to show you both sides.

What Venuva stores

The little it takes to run your club

Only what is genuinely needed to keep your member list and door working.

  • The verification result and the date it was checked, a simple yes or no.
  • Member status and your approval record, so you know who is a member and when they joined.
  • The attendance log and door decisions from your nights.
  • RSVP history, so you can see who came to what.
  • Encrypted staff notes, visible only to managers you choose.
What Venuva never stores

The things we are glad not to hold

If we do not need it, we do not want it. These never reach us.

  • The ID document or any image of it.
  • Any cross-club profile. A member at one club is not linked to any other.
  • Bank or card details of any kind.
  • Biometric data.
  • Any public listing of members, anywhere.

How we handle the rest.

A few more things worth being clear about.

How age verification works

A specialist third party carries out the age check directly with the member. They handle the document. Venuva only ever receives the result, a yes or a no, and the date. We never see the ID itself.

Each club is kept separate

Every club's data is kept apart from every other club's. One club can never see another club's members, and a member at one club is never linked to a member at another. There is no shared member directory behind the scenes.

Door staff see only the scanner

The person on the door sees the door screen and nothing else. They can check the member in front of them, but they cannot browse your member database or see anything they do not need for the door.

Members can ask to be deleted

A member can request deletion at any time. When they do, their record is removed. Nobody is locked into staying on a list once they want to leave it.

Hosted in the UK or EU

All data is hosted in the UK or the EU. It does not get quietly shipped off to somewhere with weaker protections. It stays close to home.

A signed agreement before you start

Every club receives a signed data processing agreement before onboarding. It sets out, in writing, how the data is handled, so the arrangement is clear and on paper from day one.

Belonging to your club stays between you and them.
