Several things set the Midlands apart from other UK regions. The venues here tend to be larger, more permanent and more frequently open than comparable clubs elsewhere. Most operate multiple nights per week rather than a single Saturday event, which means the community is more cohesive and regulars genuinely know each other. Membership is also generally more accessible than London clubs: the approval process exists but is typically faster, and the atmosphere at most Midlands venues is warmer and less formal than the London circuit.
