A trained volunteer at a play party or club who watches over the space to keep play safe and consensual.

A dungeon monitor, or DM, is a designated, often trained person at a play party or club who oversees the play space. Their job is to keep everyone safe: watching for unsafe technique, stepping in if consent looks unclear, and being available if anyone needs help. DMs are a sign of a well run event and a key part of community safety culture. If you are unsure about anything at a venue, the DM is who to approach.
